    NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY & NAVAL ACADEMY EXAMINATION (II), 2025-406 JOBS

    The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online applications for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (II), 2025 (Notification No. 10/2025-NDA-II). This examination is for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of NDA for the 156th Course and 118th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 01 July 2026. Eligible and interested unmarried male and female candidates must apply online through the new UPSC Online Application Portal.

    Post-wise Details

    Total Vacancies: 406

    1. National Defence Academy (NDA): 370 Posts

    Army Wing: 208 (including 10 for females)

    Navy Wing: 42 (including 05 for females)

    Air Force Wing:

    * Flying Branch: 92 (including 02 for females)

    * Ground Duties (Tech): 18 (including 02 for females)

    * Ground Duties (Non-Tech): 10 (including 02 for females)

    2. Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 36 Posts

    • Total: 36 (including 04 for females)

    Age Limit: Born between 01 January 2007 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).

    • Only unmarried candidates are eligible.

    Educational Qualification

    *Army Wing: 12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern.

    * Air Force & Naval Wings / NA Cadet Entry

    * Scheme: 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

    * Candidates appearing in 12th class in 2025 can also apply.

    Physical Standards

    Must be physically fit as per standards outlined in Appendix-III of the official notification.

    How to Apply

    • Apply online only at https://upsconline.nic.in

    • New Portal Usage: Candidates must freshly register via the new Online Application Portal (Account Creation ← Universal Registration → CAF Specific Module). ← Exam-

    • Aadhaar Card is strongly recommended as the ID document.

    • Application Withdrawal: Not allowed once submitted.

    Selection Process

    1.Written Examination:

    • Mathematics: 300 Marks, General Ability Test (English + GK): 600 Marks> Total: 900 Marks

    • Negative marking applies for wrong answers.

    2. SSB Interview / Personality Test: 900 Marks

    3. Final Merit List: Based on Written + SSB scores

    4. Air Force Candidates: Must also qualify Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS)

    Important Dates

    * Application Start: 28.05.2025

    * Last Date to Apply: 17.06.2025 (11:59 PM)

    * Exam Date: 14.09.2025

    * SSB Interviews: Likely in Dec 2025- Jan 2026

    * Final Result: Expected by October 2025.

    • Application Fee: Rs.100 (Exempted for SC/ ST/Female/Wards of JCOs/NCOS/ORs of Army/Navy/Air Force studying in Sainik/Military Schools)

    • Exam Date: 14th September 2025

    • Admit Card: Available online a week before the exam (no postal/email dispatch)

    • Helpdesk: 011-24041001 (10:00 AM to 5:30 PM on working days)

    • Exam Centers: All major cities with limited seats (First-apply-first-allot basis)

    • Use only black ball pen in exam.
