RRB has released a notification for the recruitment of 9900 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts. Interested candidates have to apply online before the deadline.
RRB Regions:
There are a total of 9,900 ALP posts vacancies zone-wise in the current recruitment process. Their details are as follows:
Central Railway – 376 posts
East Central Railway – 700 posts
North Central Railway – 508 posts
North Eastern Railway – 100 posts
North East Frontier Railway – 125 posts
Northern Railway – 521 posts
North Western Railway – 679 posts
South Central Railway – 989 posts
South East Central Railway – 568 posts
South Eastern Railway – 921 posts
Southern Railway – 510 posts
West Central Railway – 759 posts
Western Railway – 885 posts
Metro Railway Kolkata – 225 posts
Trade categories:
Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio/TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature and Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates should have passed 10th class and ITI in relevant trades. OR Should have completed three years of Engineering Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile Engineering.
Age Limit:
Candidates should be between 18 years to 30 years as on July 1, 2024.
Age relaxations will be applicable for the candidates of the respective categories as per the government norms.
Application Fee:
General and OBC candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs. 500. SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Women, Transgender, Minority and EBC candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs. 250.
Selection Process:
Stage-1 and Stage-2 computer-based tests will be conducted for the candidates. Document verification and medical examination will be conducted for the candidates who pass these. Candidates who qualify in these will be selected for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot.
Salary:
Assistant Loco Pilots will get a salary ranging from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month.

• Candidates should first open the official website of RRB https://indianrailways.gov.in/.
• You have to register on the RRB website by entering your name, phone number, email etc.
• Then an account will be opened in your name.
• You have to log in to the portal again.
• Go to the recruitment section and click on the RRB ALP Recruitment 2025 link and open it.
• Enter your personal and educational details in the application.
• Upload all the required documents.
• The application fee should also be paid online.
• Check all the details once again and submit the application.
• Keep the application printout for future reference.
