Magnus Carlsen and Ian Nepomniachtchi have created history by agreeing to share the title of 2024 FIDE World Blitz Chess Champion. The decision came after three consecutive draws in their final match. This tournament was organized in All Street, New York.

Vitul Kumar has been appointed as the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) with effect from December 31, 2024. This appointment has been made after the retirement of the current Director General Anish Dayal Singh. Kumar is a senior IPS officer of 1993 batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre. Prior to this, he was working as Special Director General of CRPF.
