SSC 2025-Notification for 437 Translator Posts
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a notification for the Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2025 to recruit candidates for Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts across various Central Government Ministries/Departments/Organizations. The exam includes posts such as Junior Hindi Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator), among others.
Total Number of Vacancies: 437 (Tentative)
Post-wise Details:
1. Junior Hindi Translator / Junior Translator/Junior Translation Officer (Post Code A-C)
Educational Qualification: Multiple Master’s Degree in Hindi/English with English/Hindi as a subject +Diploma in translation or 2 years’ experience
Pay Level: Per month Level-6 Rs.35400-Rs.1,12,400.
Age Limit: 18 – 30 years as on 01.08.2025.
2. Senior Hindi Translator / Senior Translator (Post Code D)
Educational Qualification: Multiple Same as above +3 years’ experience in translation.
Pay Level: Per month Level-7 Rs.4,4900-Rs.1,42,400.
Age Limit: 18 – 30 years as on 01.08.2025.
3. Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF (Post Code E)
Educational Qualification: Multiple Same as
above with translation diploma or 2 years’ experience + Physical and medical standards as per CRPF norms
Pay Level: Per month Level-6 Rs.35,400 -Rs.1,12,400.
Age Limit: 18 – 30 years as on 26.06.2025.
How to Apply
Candidates must apply online only through the SSC website https://ssc.gov.in. One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new portal is mandatory before applying. Aadhaar-based authentication is encouraged. The application involves online uploading of photographs and signatures as per SSC guidelines.

• Paper-I (Computer Based Test): General Hindi and General English – Objective Type
• Paper-II (Descriptive): Translation & Essay writing
• Document Verification
• Physical/Medical Test for Sub-Inspector (CRPF) post only
Minimum qualifying marks:
UR: 30%
OBC/EWS: 25%
Others: 20%

• Last Date for Fee Payment: 27.06.2025 (23:00 hrs)
• Application Correction Window: 01.07.2025 to 02.07.2025 (23:00 hrs)

Examination Centres
Across all SSC regions including major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, etc. Candidates can choose up to three centers in order of preference.
Key Points to Note:
• No change in exam center will be entertained later.
• Aadhaar-based authentication provides certain relaxations during the exam process.
• Ensure valid certificates are available during document verification.
• Submitting correct photograph/signature is crucial unless Aadhaar authenticated.
