Telangana RTA Begins Issuing Learning Licences via ‘Sarathi’ Portal
Telangana is undergoing a significant digital transformation in its transport services, with a phased integration into the Sarathi and Vahan portals.
This initiative, set to replace older systems like the CFST portal, aims to streamline and enhance the accessibility, security, and efficiency of various Regional Transport Office (RTO) services for citizens.
This initiative is part of a phased integration of transport services with the Sarathi and Vahan portals, which are designed to replace older systems like the CFST portal. From July 28, services such as licence renewal, duplicate licence issue, and address change will also transition to the Sarathi portal.
Citizens will gain the ability to access digitally verified documents via DigiLocker, significantly enhancing the portability and security of their driving-related documents.
The initiative is a component of a broader national digital transformation of RTO services, a framework that has already been successfully adopted by several other states across India. The Sarathi portal integration marks a significant step towards digital governance and streamlined public services in Telangana.
